About Me

Hello! My name is Alyssa(UH-LEE-SUH) Esquivel, I am a graduate from National Holistic Institute, I graduated with 1250 hours of training and continue to update my massage education/'tool box'. I am a Neuromuscular Therapist performing my own created massage mixture of Western & Neuromuscular modalities; modalities such as Trigger Point therapy, Joint mobilization, Myofascial therapy, and Swedish. By creating a safe & welcoming environment for clients I am able to use my knowledge/skills to help them feel better/more relaxed through soft tissue manipulation, to help clients learn more about the body, to help clients understand their muscles/aches/pains better, to help clients get back/or as close to their 'normal' ROM as possible, and give a satisfying & helpful massage. With the title 'Neuromuscular Therapist' on top of being able to work with the muscles I am also able to work with nerves, ligaments, and tendons; I have worked with the following ailments throughout my career Plantar Fasciitis, TMJD, Chronic Low Back pain, Chronic Neck pain, Chronic Shoulder pain, Migraines/Headaches, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Breast Cancer, Scoliosis, Parkinsons, Car accidents, Sports Injuries(varies from gym related to active sports related), Workers Comp related injuries(construction workers/warehouse workers/park workers/police/nurses/firefighters/etc.), and Lymphedema. I am very passionate about anatomy, body wellness, and the healing properties massage therapy can give to a person. A little about me, I am from Hayward, CA, which is located in the Bay Area, now I live in Las Vegas, NV. I like to spend my downtime going hiking, riding my bicycle, going on walks, hanging out with my family, cooking, baking, studying up more on anatomy/pathologies, continuing my massage education, reading books/manga, watching movies/anime, and bothering my cats.
