Trigger Point Therapy is a modality that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are really tight and painful knots(similar to acupressure points) except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These knots are built up throughout a person's life due to physical trauma, mental health, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques in order to release the trigger points. This modality is great for helping with car accident injuries, overuse injuries, sports injuries, pathologies like cancer/parkinsons/scoliosis/etc, general soreness, etc... Depending on the level of pain one is already in the process of working out the trigger points can be painful at times, since the work is directly on top of the affected/injured area, and it may leave you sore & sometimes bruised due to muscle swelling.
Prenatal Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Prenatal Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight & postural imbalance, and improved breathing & relaxation.

It is performed on a massage table, the client is undressed, with the use of oils or lotions, and professional draping is done so the clients modesty is preserved. There are 5 techniques used in Swedish massage; Effleurage a long gliding stroke, Petrissage a kneading movement performed with whole palm or finger tips, Friction is the use of fingers, thumbs, palms, or soft fist to move deeper tissue, Vibration massage therapists hands or finger tips sink in and tremble, Tapotement is tapping, hacking, cupping, pincement, soft fist beating or any other form of percussion.
